Thomas Capek and Mark Jones bring decades of engineering and leadership experience to Corning Incorporated.

Thomas Capek earned his Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in 1986, and holds an additional Bachelor’s degree in Physics from the State University of New York at Oneonta. His career with Corning Incorporated has spanned decades, growing from a flat-glass design engineer to Senior Vice President and Chief Engineer of Manufacturing Technology and Engineering. He is a member of the Board of Trustees at Clarkson University, a philanthropist, and an active member of Tau Beta Pi National Engineering Honor Society.

Mark Jones earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Clarkson University in 1989. His leadership work in design, construction, and project management has shaped manufacturing facilities across New York State, Michigan, and France. In his current role as Senior Manager with Corning Incorporated, Jones helps lead facilities engineering and project management work supporting Corning’s manufacturing technology and engineering organization.
