About this micro-credential

The Managing Project Risks micro-credential is a short, non-credit online course that covers project risk management processes for identifying, assessing, responding to, and controlling individual project risks, then applying that knowledge to assess overall project risks (cost and schedule). If well done, we ensure that all our projects are as successful as possible. Tools & techniques are examined, as is the know-how for effectively balancing and re-balancing project plans per risk tolerance guidelines, based on organizational governance to control all projects.
 

Assessments

You will be assessed via several multiple-choice exams and one comprehensive exam. Exams are graded immediately and multiple attempts are allowed.

Project Portfolio Management is a self-paced, online micro-credential course that you may work on and complete at any time. This is a non-credit offering.

Instructional Plan

The Managing Project Risks micro-credential consists of five modules or chapters: Start Here (Introduction), Module 1 - Individual Project Risks, Module 2 - Overall Project Risks, Module 3 - Risk Response Strategies, and Module 4 - Monitoring and Controlling Risks and Projects. Within each module is an interactive lesson, instructional resources, e.g., PDF articles, webpages, or videos, and a multiple-choice exam.

There are no prerequisites.
 

Earning Criteria

• Score 80% or higher on all module-level quizzes.
• Score 80% or higher on the final comprehensive exam.
